BTS made history when they were the first-ever Korean musical guests on Saturday Night Live on April 13, but they made an announcement during the show, too: they’ll be joining Halsey to perform their latest collaboration at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.
The group will bring “Boy With Luv” to the stage alongside Halsey, and this will serve as the single’s international live premiere. (They did sing and dance through the track on SNL, but Halsey didn’t make an appearance during the broadcast.)
The news comes at the close of a staggeringly successful week for BTS, who not only made their SNL debut, but achieved a career milestone on Friday (April 12) when they became the first musical act from Asia to blow past the 5 billion streams mark on Spotify.
This year, BTS are nominated for BBMAs in the top duo/group and top social artist categories.
Kelly Clarkson, Lauren Daigle, Khalid, Panic! At The Disco and Sam Smith & Normani and 2019 ICON Award recipient Mariah Carey are already slated to perform at the 2019 BBMAs, which will air on NBC from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
