The 2017 Billboard Music Awards have teamed up with entrepreneur company Lovepop (as seen on Shark Tank), which will be in charge of the new, original 3D popup cards that hold all the winner’s names for each award category.
The annual awards show — which will broadcast live from Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena on Sunday, May 21 — is where the handcrafted and specialty designed cards will be showcased throughout the night. The cards will be presented to each winner, designed specifically for that particular artist with the company’s one-of-a-kind paper art. The 3D paper sculpture business, best known for its 2015 appearance on Shark Tank, is run by creators Wombi Rose and John Wise under the business guidance of Shark Tank‘s Kevin O’Leary.
For a closer look at the novelty cards before the BBMAs, Shark Tank will give an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the winner cards on Friday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
The 3D popup cards will replace the traditional envelopes that are opened onstage before announcing the winners.
