Bette Midler will be gracing the stage at this year’s 91st Oscars ceremony to perform “The Place Where Lost Things Go” from Mary Poppins Returns. The legendary singer and actress made the announcement on Twitter Saturday (Feb. 16).
“So, (drum roll) Ladies and Gentlemen, I will be chanteusing (that’s singing) on the Oscars on Feb 24…the nominated song from “Mary Poppins”…”The Place Where Lost Things Go” …so excited!!” Midler wrote.
In late January, the Academy announced that “The Place Where Lost Things Go,” written by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, “will be performed by a surprise special guest.” The song was originally performed by Emily Blunt in the film.

Other songs to be performed during the ceremony include “Shallow” from A Star is Born and “All the Stars” from Black Panther.
The 2019 Oscars will take place Feb. 24 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, and will be broadcast live on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
