Three powerhouse performers — Kane Brown, Khalid and Swae Lee — took to the Billboard Music Awards stage on Wednesday (Oct. 15) for “Be Like That,” one of the biggest cross-genre collabs of 2020.
Dressed in a patterned t-shirt, jeans and a black cap reading “MIRACLE,” Brown kicked off the performance of the laid-back track, which is currently sitting at No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100.
“I might be better on my own/ I hate you blowing up my phone/ I wish I never met your ass/ But sometimes it be like that/ But I’m not myself the nights you’re gone/ There ain’t no way I’m moving on/ I’m not afraid to need you bad/ Sometimes it be like that,” he crooned.
Swae Lee and Khalid then entered the mix, with the former rocking an all-black outfit accessorized by leather bags. For his part, Khalid sounded smooth as silk.
“Be Like That” is Brown’s first song with Swae Lee. Brown and Khalid previously worked together on a remix of the latter’s single “Saturday Nights.”
The 2020 Billboard Music Awards is produced by dick clark productions, which is owned by MRC Entertainment, the parent company of Billboard.
