In the entertaining video for this latest infectious song, the good-natured iPhone-packing musicians — who hail from Mazatlan, Sinaloa — drive hot cars and shop for diamonds, while making it clear that it’s the music that really matters.

This mix of very conceptual songs with entertaining videos, coupled with youthful good looks (Pancho Uresti, the band’s lead singer last year has since gone solo) have made Banda Tierra Sagrada a YouTube sensation, with each of their videos scoring millions of hits. But radio is impressive too; the group has had four singles on the Hot Latin Songs chart, which indicates both heavy airplay and heavy streaming. The most recent single, “Soy un Desmadre” (I’m A Mess), featuring Marco Flores & La # 1 Banda Jerez, reached No. 6 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart and No. 17 on Hot Latin Songs.

Tierra Sagrada’s frequent theme of living between two worlds has proved to be one that their young regional Mexican music fans can relate to. The group’s 2013 breakthrough single, “La Buena y la Mala,” plays out the dilemma of choosing between a “good” girl and a “bad” girl; between being a good guy and a player. The song has 163 million views on YouTube.
Tierra Sagrada recently played to an audience of over 10,000 in Puebla, Mexico. And the band from Sinaloa is planning to keep the party going with the upcoming release of their new album, aptly titled Seguimos la Fiesta.
