The 25-year-old singer took the stage in a lavender-colored dress, matching knee-high boots and her signature long ponytail. (“Loofah of the Year,” she later tweeted, joking about her her intricate dress.)
Grande looked to be having a blast, bopping around while singing the iconic breakup anthem. While she didn’t dress up as Mean Girls Regina George or Legally Blonde’s Elle Woods, the singer still gave an undeniably fun performance alongside her dancers.
Grande, who was also named Billboard’s Woman of the Year, gave an emotional speech thanking her team and expressing the strength she feels after overcoming her personal obstacles. “I find it interesting that this has been one of the best years of my career and the worst of my life,” Grande said.
Meanwhile, Grande has snagged two 2019 Grammy nominations.
