After winning two different awards, Ariana Grande lit up the stage of the 2019 Billboard Music Awards on Wednesday (May 1) with an electrifying pre-recorded performance of her smash-hit single “7 Rings.”
The star, clad in a pink latex bra and skirt, and a pink bolero jacket, took to the stage with a posse of matching backup dancers, showing off her sickening vocal skills and her similarly polished dance routine. Using her fans as a megaphone, the star regularly held out her microphone, inviting her fans to sing along to the hit song.
As the performance wound to a close, Grande waltzed over to the graffitied car at the center of the stage. Once her dancers finished tagging it (including one tag that read “BBMAs 2019”) she mounted the vehicle as it descended into the stage, waving at her fans as she went.
The performance was recorded during a stop on her Sweetener world tour in Vancouver, Canada; Grande later tweeted, “Happy @bbmas day everybody ! so wish we were there with u in person tonight. thank you @billboard for all of your endless support, love and for having us perform for u remotely from the sweetener world tour.”
