Ariana Grande chose to stay home on Sunday night (Feb. 1) and skip out on the 61st annual Grammy Awards. But she still dressed up and gave a heartfelt, if a bit sleepy, acceptance speech from her bed after taking home gold for best pop vocal album for Sweetener. The singer, who did not attend due to a disupte with the Recording Academy over her scheduled performance, posted a tweet early Monday morning (Feb. 11) celebrating the win.
“It’s me your tiny, highly emotional, italian, and now grammy award winning friend,” she wrote alongside a short video in wihch she says “Is it rolling? Thank you so much” without taking her head off her satin pillow. “I’m super tarnishes lol. but super grateful. thank u for everything,” her note continued. “myron is in my arms n he says hi as well.”

In the video, Grande snuggled with Myron, who originally belonged to the singer’s late boyfriend, rapper Mac Miller. Instead of performing at the Grammys, Grande posed in her gorgeous gown in a series of pics posted during the broadcast.
