Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have remained one of the most-adored couples of 2019, and the pair kept that momentum going at the 2019 American Music Awards. At Sunday night’s ceremony (Nov. 24), the pair transformed the Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theatre into a private dancefloor for their “Senorita” performance.
Similar to their rendition at the MTV VMAs back in August, Cabello began the performance by crooning a few a capella notes before joining her beau towards the end of the stage. From there, the singers teased the audience by getting just close enough to sneak in a kiss before pulling away to dance along to the Latin-inspired single.
Their close friend Taylor Swift, who recently tapped Mendes for her “Lover” remix, was spotted in the crowd happily cheering on. Last month, Mendes broke the record for the most No. 1s among solo males in Billboard’s Adult Pop Songs radio airplay chart’s history, all thanks to “Senorita.”
