
Adele managed to evade the censor button at the 2016 Brit Awards. After accepting her third award of the night — the Global Success Award — the British trophy magnet sobbed and cursed during her speech.
“I bet you’re all fucking bored of me,” she said between sniffs before praising the montage leading up to her honor, which was presented by British astronaut Tim Peake (who was beamed in from space). “My kid is going to think I’m so cool.”

Earlier in the night, the U.K. songstress took home two awards for best solo female artist and British single for “Hello,” the lead single off her record-breaking set 25. She also offered her public support for embattled singer Kesha.

Brit Awards co-host Ant even offered an explanation for the foul language that landed on-air. “The bleep guy didn’t get in early enough,” he joked.
