Taking to the BBMAs stage for the first time, the singer is slated to perform a trio of tracks off her latest album B7, including fan-favorite single “Borderline,” “Almost Doesn’t Count” and “No Tomorrow” featuring Ty Dolla $ign.
The album, which was released at the end of July, marks Brandy’s long-awaited return to music after a lengthy hiatus — while she’s released a number of one-off tracks in recent years, the R&B legend’s last proper studio set was 2012’s Two Eleven.
Additionally, Saint Jhn will also be debuting a brand new track during the show in a special bonus performance presented by Xfinity. Titled “Sucks to Be You,” the song will be featured on the rising R&B star’s upcoming third studio set, which follows 2019’s Ghetto Lenny’s Love Songs, and is available to watch on the Xfinity YouTube channel ahead of the show.
Both artists will join the litany of stars confirmed for the BBMAs stage, including BTS, Alicia Keys, Kane Brown, Doja Cat, Luke Combs, Bad Bunny, Demi Lovato and Garth Brooks — the latter of whom will be receiving this year’s icon award during the ceremony. Other previously announced performers include Khalid, Sia, Post Malone, Swae Lee and a reunion by En Vogue.
Hosted by Kelly Clarkson, the 2020 Billboard Music Awards will take place Wednesday (Oct. 14) at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, broadcasting live from the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.
