
The 2019 MTV Video Music Awards are going down on Monday night (Aug. 26), but before the show begins, fans can tune into the pre-show, kicking off at 7:00 p.m. ET on MTV and its Viacom sister networks.
Hosted by Terrence J and Nessa, the pre-show will feature performances from Ava Max, CNCO and Megan Thee Stallion. Zara Larsson will be featured as a guest correspondent, while Hayley Kiyoko will present the award for push artist of the year, which highlights up-and-coming artists.
In addition to the planned correspondents and performers, the night’s biggest stars will walk the red carpet to show off their sure to be over-the-top fashions and talk about their latest music news.
Following the red-carpet pre-show, the 2019 VMAs will take place at Newark, N.J.’s Prudential Center starting at 8:00 p.m. ET. The 36th annual awards show will feature performances from the likes of Bad Bunny, Lizzo and Lil Nas X, with Sebastian Maniscalo hosting.
