Ed Sheeran was conspicuously absent on Sunday night (Jan. 28) when his name was read at the 2018 Grammy Awards. After spending more than a year on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Sheeran’s “Shape of You” won Best Pop Solo Performance Award and his third album, ÷ (Divide) snagged Best Pop Vocal Album. But, sadly for the world’s Sheerios, the singer was not at Madison Square Garden to accept.
A few hours after the show ended, though, Ed weighed in on the honor with a funny Instagram post featuring an adorable cat lolling on its back on cement while staring at the camera. “Woke up to the news I won two grammys last night,” he wrote. “Thank you! This little fluff-ball is doing a bit of a celebratory dance, lots of love to everyone.”
