Each musician set to perform is no stranger to success within this past year making them each an excellent choice to perform at the 2018 ceremony.
Sheeran, a three time BRIT Award winner, is fresh off a hit arena tour and the success of his latest smash album ÷, which has become the fastest-selling album ever by a male in the UK. Dua Lipa created some “New Rules” this year by becoming the most streamed British woman with her infectious hit that you could not escape. Smith scored his second No. 1 album with The Thrill Of It All, which topped the UK charts and showcased why he won the BRIT’s British Breakthrough Artist back in 2015. And rapper Stormzy put grime on the map with his debut album Gang Signs and Prayer that went No. 1 in the UK.
More performers are set for announcement in the upcoming weeks, while the full list of nominations for the 2018 BRIT Awards will be released on Jan. 13 when 2017 BRIT Awards host Emma Willis will announce them along with performances from other British artists incoluding Liam Payne, Paloma Faith, Clean Bandit, J Hus and Jorja Smith.
