Post Malone hit the 2018 American Music Awards stage on Tuesday night (Oct. 9) a winner. With some hardware already in hand thanks to a win earlier in the night, the rapper teamed up with Ty Dolla $ign for a medley of his biggest hits that kicked off with “Psycho,” performed under a giant spinning fan.
Wearing a glam all-silver suit and matching glittery boots, Malone — rocking his new shorter hair style — crooned the Hot 100 No. 1 hit alongside Ty, who grabbed a verse wearing nothing but leather pants and a knee-length fur coat. Mid-way through, Ty took a break, leaving Posty alone on the small circular stage blazed up in green lights and surrounded by flames that matched the ones licking up the arms and legs of his custom suit.
In a testament to the six-time AMA nominee’s massive appeal — he won favorite male artist — pop/rock, earlier in the evening — he had everyone from G-Eazy to Lauren Jauregui, Grey and Cardi B singing along to his solo run through “Better Now.”
