This week, our featured guest is Latin Grammy-winning artist Carla Morrison who’s getting into the holiday spirit with her very own Christmas EP titled La Niña del Tambor, set to debut Friday (Dec. 9) on digital platforms.
While you may think, “great, another Christmas album,” Morrison promises it’s not that “typical cheesy” stuff we usually hear. She’s delivering a modern alt-rock take — with a touch of blues and jazz — on these classic Spanish and English holiday jingles including “White Christmas” and “Noche de paz.”
Ahead of the release, the Latin Connection Podcast’s co-host Griselda Flores jumped on the phone with the Mexican singer/songwriter to talk about her festive EP, some holiday traditions she shares with her family and what new projects her fans can expect in 2017.
