Børns generally likes taking selfies, but sometimes they don’t go as planned — like this one time at a festival.
“These girls ran up to me. They were like, ‘Oh my god, it’s Børns!’… As soon as they got in front of me the main girl of the pack was like, ‘Oh, it’s not Børns, never mind.’”
The 24-year old Interscope artist with a dreamy head of hair is at an interesting juncture between starting and stardom. His 2015 debut album Dopamine contained a couple of Alternative Songs hits, and he’s got Coachella and Bonnaroo dates lined up, along with Australian and European dates supporting Halsey. He chatted about his journey so far on the latest episode of the Alt In Our Stars.
Børns described how a move to L.A. kick-started his music career, how musicians can preserve their vocals on tour, how drugs influenced his druggily-titled album, and much more. Now when you ask him for a selfie, you’ll have plenty to talk about.
