As you saw on your TV screens Sunday, only the night’s top nominees were invited to the beyond-intimate 2021 Grammy Awards ceremony, with Beyoncé & Jay-Z’s table positioned at least 6 feet away from Billie Eilish & Finneas’. But what you didn’t see is what happened to those artists after they won.
That’s where the Billboard Pop Shop Podcast comes in: Katie was positioned in the virtual press room, where winners were invited to speak with the press after collecting their hardware. Those top nominees — including H.E.R., Dua Lipa, Harry Styles and more — beamed in to the press room from backstage, while dozens of other winners popped in from their home offices during the Grammy Premiere Ceremony earlier in the day.
Listen to our latest episode below to hear all about our behind-the-scenes perspective of a very unique Grammy ceremony — including why Styles gave a second speech in the press room and more.
Also on the show, we run down the music categories for the 2021 Oscar nominations, which were announced on Monday. Plus, we’ve got enormous chart news about how Drake makes history on the Billboard Hot 100 as he debuts at Nos. 1, 2 and 3 with his latest three new songs, while Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak’s new superduo Silk Sonic also debuts in the top 10.
