It’s been a wild ride on season two of Fox’s ratings smash The Masked Singer. This season has seen some music legends going out in the early rounds (Patti LaBelle, Destiny’s Child‘s Michelle Williams), as well as a few athletes (Johnny Weir, Laila Ali), gamer Ninja, celebrity physician Dr. Drew Pinsky, former Late Show bandleader Paul Shaffer, comedian Sherri Shepherd, Raven Symoné and Kelly Osbourne.
With three eliminations due this week — one on Tuesday (Dec. 10) and two on Wednesday night’s (Dec. 11) semi-finals show — things are screaming toward a big reveal on the Dec. 18 season finale. So, who will join season one winner T-Pain in the victor’s circle? Billboard asked Las Vegas bookmaker Bovada to give us their current odds on who might be last to take off the mask.
“We have a pretty active group of bettors when it comes to TV and entertainment props, so a prop like this is seeing similar action to other TV props we have posted in the past (like Jeopardy and The Mandalorian as recent examples),” Pat Morrow, head oddsmaker for Bovada tells Billboard.
Flamingo +280
Fox +280
Rottweiler +280
Tree +280
Thingamajig +600
Leopard +800
For those of you who aren’t betting-inclined, that means if you put down $100 on Flamingo you could win $280, and if you went big on Leopard that $100 could turn into $800. Morrow added some additional odds, noting that since Billboard first reached out some of the odds have changed. “Fox is seeing the most action and has been bet down to +150. 76% of bets on Fox, followed by 13% on Flamingo and 8% on Rottweiler. Next is Thingamajig at 1% and Tree and Leopard have received less than 1% of all bets.”
Two celebrities will be eliminated on Wednesday night’s (Dec. 11) semi-finals show in a special holiday-themed episode which will feature Christmas songs. The two-hour season two finale will take place on Dec. 18 (8-10 p.m.), with season three slated to launch on Feb. 2 right after the Super Bowl.
