The Greatest Showman just barely hit theaters, but it’s already causing quite the impact. The glitzy musical drama boasts a cast of Zendaya, Zac Efron, Hugh Jackman, and Michelle Williams, each of whom deliver their own musical performance on the eleven-song soundtrack.
Audiences around the country are certainly digging the songs from the film, as the soundtrack is quickly gaining chart traction following the movie’s Dec. 20 release. The soundtrack is slated to hit No.1 on the Billboard 200 Chart next week, after swiftly jumping from No. 63 to No. 5 between its second and third week, and cracking through the top ten this week.
And the film isn’t just succeeding in its music alone. It’s earned $54.3 million at the box office thus far, and received nominations for a slew of awards including best performance by an actor in a motion picture – musical or comedy (Jackman), and best original song – motion picture (“This Is Me,” written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul) at the Golden Globes.
