According to the streaming giant, more than 250,000 users have created their own GoT-inspired playlists, including thousands centered around their favorite characters battling for the Iron Throne. Out of the show’s sprawling cast, Peter Dinklage’s devious Tyrion Lannister reigns supreme with the most fan-created playlists to his name. Interestingly, Kristian Nairn’s lovable Hodor comes in second, ahead of other fan-favorite characters such as Kit Harrington’s Jon Snow and Lena Headey’s Cersei Lannister.
When it comes to the most-streamed songs on the official GoT soundtracks, only one beat out the show’s official theme song: “Light of the Seven,” the slowly-building orchestral track (by composer Ramin Djawadi) that scores the moment when (spoiler alert!) Cersei blows up the Sept of Baelor in the Season 6 finale.
To prep for the show’s final season, Spotify also unveiled a newly-revamped playlist titled “The End Is Coming.” The rock-inspired playlist, which replaces “Songs Of Ice and Fire,” is an official collaboration between Spotify and series creators Dan Benioff and D.B. White, and features tracks by Rage Against The Machine, Led Zeppelin, Guns N’ Roses and more.
In addition to the new playlist, users can also stream seven different House-inspired playlists to show their allegiance to House Stark, Lannister, Targaryen and others. Every GoT playlist is accessible through Spotify’s TV & Movies page.
