Songland will kick off its second season on April 13, and it’s going to be another star-studded affair. NBC announces the roster of artists for Season 2 today (March 9), but Billboard has them here first.
Boyz II Men, Florida Georgia Line, Luis Fonsi, H.E.R., Lady Antebellum, Martina McBride, Julia Michaels, Ben Platt, Bebe Rexha and Usher will appear on this next season of Songland. OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder, Rihanna co-writer Ester Dean and country hitmaker Shane McAnally will return as the all-star producer panel who will help aspiring singer-songwriters shape their songs to hopefully have it recorded by the artist who is part of the episode.
Like Season 1 of Songland, the artist will pick one of the songs they hear to record themselves and release it through their label just after the episode airs. Last season saw the likes of John Legend, the Jonas Brothers, Meghan Trainor and Macklemore on the hunt for a hit.
This season’s artist lineup is revealed in a teaser for Season 2, with Tedder, McAnally and Dean expressing their excitement for another round of Songland. “We can’t wait to do new music with you guys,” Dean says in the promo (watch above).
Season 2 of Songland premieres April 13 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC. For more information, visit the show’s official website.
