John Wick: Chapter 4 is adding some musical star power: Rina Sawayama.
The British-Japanese pop star will join Keanu Reeves in the cast of the fourth installment of the John Wick franchise, which will be directed by Chad Stahelski, who is also producing alongside Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee. Reeves and Louise Rosner are credited as executive producers.
“I’m so glad to have Rina on board to make her feature film debut in John Wick: Chapter 4,” Stahelski told Deadline, which broke the news Thursday (May 27). “She’s an incredible talent who’ll bring so much to the film.”
Deadline also reported that the movie will start production this summer. John Wick: Chapter 4 is set to be released in theaters in exactly one year: on May 27, 2022. “My feature film acting debut in John Wick 4 !!!!!! I’m so excited !!!!!” the “XS” singer tweeted in celebration of the good news.

While shooting on location in France, Germany and Japan will begin in the next few months, Sawayama will head back on the road for the North American and European legs of her 2022 rescheduled tour in support of her 2020 eponymous debut album.
