Ricky Martin has a huge 2018 ahead. As he gears up for the second year of his All In Las Vegas residency, the 46-year-old Latin superstar also returns to his role as Antonio D’Amico, the boyfriend of the late fashion designer Gianni Versace, in FX’s true crime anthology series The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. Ahead of the season two premiere Wednesday (Jan. 17), Martin stopped by The Daily Show Tuesday (Jan. 16) to chat about his role with Trevor Noah.
Martin spoke on his excitement in being included in the show as well as the importance of being a part of the story. “I’m working with Penelope Cruz, Edgar Ramirez, people that I love, that I respect,” he said.
Aside from his singing and acting ventures, Martin also spoke about his initiatives in aiding his native island of Puerto Rico after last years’ devastating Hurricane Irma. The “Livin’ La Vida Loca” singer stressed the fact that there are still 1.4 million people living without electricity or running water, but he’s doing all he can to help.
“With my foundation and alliance that I want to create with Habitat for Humanity, I just want to start building homes, that is the next phase.” You can donate here.
