For five seasons, fans of Orange Is the New Black grew accustomed to life inside of the Litchfield Correctional Facility, much like the inmates themselves. But at the end of the show’s fifth season, it became clear that fans weren’t going to be seeing the inside of the facility for quite some time, as the end of a prison riot resulted in the ladies of Litchfield being shipped off in buses to new prisons.
In the brand-new trailer for the show’s sixth, fans finally get to see where the inmates are headed: maximum security prison. Donning new clothes, a few new hairdos and all of the same bristling attitude, each of the inmates is shown adjusting to a new life behind the bars of a much bigger prison.
The trailer also teases a few potential plotlines: Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren (played by Uzo Aduba) is seen struggling with her new uniforms and sets of rules; Piper Chapman (played by Taylor Schilling) is once again looking for her former lover Alex Vause (played by Laura Prepon); even Lorna Morello Muccio (played by Yael Stone) is now struggling with a bunkmate with very active bowels.
Connecting each of the storylines is what appears to be a series of interrogations, where each of the girls are being asked to share information about who is to blame for the riot from last season. “You don’t know how strong my girls are,” Galina “Red” Reznikov (played by Kate Mulgrew) says. “We have iron wills, and fucking nothing to lose.”
Season 6 of Orange is the New Black premieres on Netflix July 27. Watch the full trailer below:
