The past year has seen a slew of music-inspired movies, with biopics like last November’s Queen film Bohemian Rhapsody and this May’s Elton John flick Rocketman bringing fandemonium to theaters around the world. The latest motion picture to join the biopic trend is Judy, based on the life of singer and Wizard of Oz star Judy Garland — but it’s not the only music-related film hitting theaters this fall.
Just in time for Halloween, MGM Motion Picture Group and Universal Pictures will unveil an animated edition of the beloved 1960s series The Addams Family on Oct. 11. Along with the iconic creepy and kooky theme song, the movie will feature original music from Snoop Dogg, Migos, Karol G and Rock Mafia — who all team up for the new official Addams Family tune titled “My Family” — as well as powerhouse Christina Aguilera.
Then in November, the latest installation of Charlie’s Angels (which stars Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska) will join the roster. Though that’s not exactly a musical, it will include “Don’t Call Me Angel,” the girl-powered collaboration between Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Rey — but luckily fans won’t have to wait much longer for that, as the song arrives Friday.
Finally, a week after Charlie’s Angels, the long-awaited sequel to Frozen (simply titled Frozen 2) will have people of all ages belting more than just “Let It Go.”
