It’s almost time to dance, jive and have the time of your life all over again. The final trailer for Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again was released Tuesday (May 8), giving fans of the ABBA-soundtracked musical another taste of Sophie and her mother Donna’s Grecian shenanigans.
The sequel follows ten years to the month of the original Mamma Mia! film’s release — based off the eponymous play from 1999 — and features Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfriend reprising their mother-daughter roles.
Sophie is now 30 years old and overwhelmed about how to juggle running Donna’s villa while expecting her first child herself, still not knowing who her father is. She’s determined to delve deeper into Donna’s history and uncover how the free spirit met Sophie’s “three dads,” owned the villa and raised a daughter all on her own. In the midst of her search for understanding, an uninvited guest arrives: Sophie’s maternal grandmother, Ruby, portrayed by Cher.
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again hits theaters July 20, and tickets are currently available. Watch the trailer below.
