The Little Mermaid Live! made a big splash Tuesday night (Nov. 5) on NBC, with its ocean of stars and classic songs.
Presented as a half-animated movie and half-live concert, fans of the Disney classic tuned in en masse as Queen Latifah brought Ursula to life, John Stamos made an appearance as a crab-crazed chef and Shaggy belted out “Under the Sea”.
It was all good fun, and “the set design and staging took this musical to the next level,” wrote Billboard in the wash-up.
