Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan will join Katy Perry as hosts on the reboot of American Idol. Variety had previously reported in May that the “Firework” singer would be taking home $25 million for the upcoming season, her first with the Idol franchise, while The Hollywood Reporter first reported Bryan joining the judges’ table earlier this week.
In a tweet, Ryan Seacrest confirmed his new Idol co-stars, writing, “So who wants to start the @americanidol group chat? @katyperry @lukebryanonline @lionelrichie #TheNextIdol”

“I am very excited to be joining Katy, Luke and Ryan on ‘American Idol,’” said Richie, according to a press release. “As a singer, songwriter and producer, I feel I can bring a great deal of experience to the table. It’s going to be so much fun!”
Shooting will begin Tuesday (Oct. 3), according to TMZ. The panel will make their debut appearance on Good Morning America on Wednesday (Oct. 4).
