Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is continuing to add to its already packed cast. Lena Dunham is joining the Quentin Tarantino movie, along with Austin Butler and Lorenza Izzo. Also joining the cast is Maya Hawke, the daughter of Ethan Hawke and Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction star Uma Thurman.
Set in Los Angeles in 1969, the film follows Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio), the former star of a Western TV series, and his longtime stunt double, Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt), who are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor: Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie).
Al Pacino, Dakota Fanning, Damian Lewis, James Marsden and Luke Perry are just a few other names on the pic’s call sheet.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will be Dunham’s first studio feature and marks her first onscreen role since her HBO show Girls concluded in 2017. Hawke is set for the third season of Netflix’s Stranger Things, while Butler will play a part in Jim Jarmusch’s zombie film The Dead Don’t Die and Izzo will next be seen in Universal’s The House With a Clock in Its Walls.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is slated for a July 2019 release.
