Kelly Clarkson is joining the star-studded judges panel of NBC’s The Voice this season, and the latest promo video proves the vocal powerhouse will surely bring her infectious personality to the show.
The clip opens with fellow judges Blake Shelton and Adam Levine debating on who one of the contestants will choose as a coach. Levine pressed the button on his chair and Steve Carell’s iconic “Kelly Clarkson!” line from The 40-Year-Old Virgin hilariously echos in the studio.
A montage then rolls of various contestants telling Clarkson what an influence she was on their careers. The pop star, who got her own start on a different singing competition, American Idol, is seen saying, “I would really love to do for someone on this show what was done for me.”
