Kelly Clarkson is adding daytime talk show host to her résumé.
Less than two months after filming a pilot for a syndicated series, The Kelly Clarkson Show has been sold to NBC stations in 11 U.S. markets.
The series, which will bow in the fall of 2019, will replace Steve Harvey’s Steve and air as a lead-in to Ellen on NBC Owned TV Station group stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Francisco, Miami, San Diego, Hartford and Washington, D.C.
“I love connecting with people, playing games, music and finding ways to help or give back to communities/organizations,” Clarkson said of the hourlong show, which is produced by NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution. “Having my own talk show where I get to do all of these things is pretty much a dream job!”
The series is described a “weekday brunch party” with guests who typically would never meet. Each episode will feature celebrity guests, surprises, humor, heart, music and remarkable stories. Clarkson exec produces the Los Angeles-based show alongside her husband Brandon Blackstock.
The series arrives less than two months after Clarkson filmed the pilot. Clarkson will return as a coach to NBC’s The Voice for its upcoming 15th season in the fall and 16th cycle in the spring.

The syndicated talk show comes on the heels of a talent deal Clarkson signed with NBC and after NBCUniversal’s Harry Connick Jr.-hosted talker Harry ended its run this month.

Clarkson, who recently announced a U.S. tour in 2019 to support Meaning of Life, her eighth studio album — has sold more than 25 million albums. As a coach on The Voice, she won season 14 and will be back later this month for season 15.
