Justin Timberlake will not only reprise his role as Branch in Trolls World Tour — the all-star sequel to the 2016 film Trolls, which will hit theaters April 2020 — but he will also be serving as the executive music producer for Trolls World Tour (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack). The worlds of music combine not only in the film but on the soundtrack too, as Mary J. Blige, George Clinton and Anderson .Paak represent the land of Funk and Kelly Clarkson hails from Country.
Other stars contributing new music to the project include Anna Kendrick (who plays fellow main character Poppy), SZA and Chris Stapleton. Timberlake produced the soundtrack alongside Grammy- and Oscar-winning composer/producer Ludwig Göransson while writing and performing new music.
Trolls World Tour (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) follows the highly successful soundtrack for the original Trolls movie, another production of the *NSYNC alum. The soundtrack peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 (chart dated Nov. 26, 2016) and notched a No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling!”
The soundtrack will be available March 2020 via RCA Records, and it’s available for pre-order here.
