
Jamie Foxx‘s musical game show Beat Shazam has been renewed by Fox for a fourth season. Foxx will be onboard again as host and executive producer, with daughter Corinne returning as the show’s in-house DJ; other executive producers of the series include Mark Burnett, Jeff Apploff, Barry Poznick and Lauren Zalaznick.
According to a release from Fox announcing the pick-up, the game show that pits three two-person teams against each other as they try to name classic hits averaged 3.2 million multi-platform viewers in its third season, ranking it among summer 2019’s top 25 broadcast series among adults 18-49. The show challenges the team with the most money to go up against song identification app Shazam for a chance at one million dollars.
A number of A-list musicians have appeared on the series to date, including Mariah Carey, TLC, Snoop Dogg, Odell Beckham Jr., Shaquille O’Neal, Michael Bolton and Smokey Robinson. Foxx will also appear as a guest panelist on the season three premiere of Fox’s The Masked Singer, which will debut on Sunday night (Feb. 2) after Super Bowl LIV at 10:30 p.m. ET.
