Things got juicy yesterday when Jennifer Lopez stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show Tuesday (Feb. 21). Amidst the discussion — which touched on J. Lo’s Las Vegas residency and the possibility of performing at the next Super Bowl — her rumored romance with Drake came into play.
Last December, an Instagram photo created waves as people speculated on the possibility that Lopez and the Toronto rapper were dating. Later, the two were seen kissing while promoting a potential collaboration. Obviously DeGeneres couldn’t help asking: Did they really work on a song together?
“Actually, he sent me a song that he wanted me to be on, and I got on the song,” J. Lo explained. “Yeah, we have a song together. I don’t know what he’s going to do with it, but yeah.”
It didn’t technically confirm that they aren’t dating, however. Lopez has dated other younger men in the past — for example, on-and-off love (and her backup dancer) Casper Smart — which the host also briefly touches on. Yet, J. Lo asserted age has nothing to do with it.
“I don’t date younger men. It’s not like you have to be younger. It’s not about that,” the singer said. “I just meet people and if I go out with them, I got out with them. And if I like them and I like them. If I don’t, I don’t. It’s about the person. It’s about who they are. It has nothing to do with age.”
