On Wednesday, (Sept. 5) Halsey revealed through Twitter that she will appear as herself in Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s upcoming remake of the film A Star Is Born. The singer-songwriter wrote, “I guess now is a good time to finally tell you guys that I have a little cameo in A Star Is Born!”
The tweet continued to thank Gaga and Cooper for including her, saying “It was an honor to watch both of your talent and dedication on set.” Halsey called the moment “an all time life highlight for me for sure.”
When a fan asked who Halsey would play, she replied “I play myself for a very small moment! Which is insane because it means Gaga and Bradley saw me worthy of representing a piece of the current state of music in this film forever.” The proud star added, “They could have picked any artist. It was so humbling and unreal.”
A Star Is Born premiered at Venice Film Festival on Aug. 31, as Cooper’s directorial debut and Gaga’s first major film role. The movie hits theaters on Oct. 5.
