Fourteen years ago Monday (May 14), Gwyneth Paltrow became a proud mother. The actress and Goop mogul celebrated the Mother’s Day occasion Sunday (May 13) by sharing a throwback photo of herself the night before she gave birth to her daughter Apple, her first child with now-ex-husband, Coldplay‘s Chris Martin.
The grainy shot shows a nude Paltrow posing sideways, her enlarged belly fully visible against a silky curtain.
“Fourteen years ago on the verge of a life changing morning,” Paltrow captioned the photo. “To all of us, biological, adoptive, foster, spiritual, communal, all the den mothers and grand mothers and great grandmothers and great great grandmothers, all the way back, happy Mother’s Day.”
After giving birth to Apple and then their son, Moses, in 2006, Paltrow filed for divorce from Martin in April 2015 after over 11 years of marriage. The pair seem to remain amicable regardless, and Apple has even picked up on her father’s musical abilities.
