Lil Wayne made heads turn Sunday night during the post-Super Bowl season 3 premiere of Fox’s The Masked Singer when he took off the Robot head and revealed his identity in the first elimination of the season. And since it started last year, the show has thrived off its head-turning unmasking moments.
T-Pain shocked millions of viewers with his Monster win to cap the first season, proving he doesn’t need Auto-Tune to carry a tune. After being confused for the Monster multiple times, Wayne Brady followed in T-Pain’s footsteps with a season 2 win — even though fans were struggling to figure out if he really was the Fox or the Thingamjig.
The show has also hosted a couple of R&B icons (namely Gladys Knight as the Bee and Patti LaBelle as the Flower), two Cheetah Girls (season 2 third runner-up Adrienne Bailon as the Flamingo and Raven-Symoné as the Black Widow in the same season), a Destiny’s Child star (Michelle Williams as the Butterfly) and more in its superstar lineup.
