Emanne Beasha is a 10-year-old singer with some serious music chops. She made that loud and clear when she auditioned for America’s Got Talent with a rendition of “Nessun Dorma” on Tuesday (June 25).
Hailing from North Port, Florida., Beasha came out on stage appearing bubbly and modest. “I’m so nervous,” she said a few times, giggling. As judge Julianne Hough asked her a few questions, Beasha explained that she’s the only girl in her family, and that her dad owns an ice cream factory. “Salted caramel, coffee, and chocolate chip mint,” she said when Hough asked what her favorite ice cream flavors were.
But the cute little chat quickly turned into a seriously impressive performance. As soon as Beasha opened her mouth to sing one of the best-known tenor arias, from the final act of Giacomo Puccini’s opera Turandot, members of the audience began to tear up.
By the end of it, Hough and Gabrielle Union gave her a standing ovation along with the rest of the crowd.
