Happy Birthday Ellen!
On Friday’s (Jan. 26) episode of the Ellen DeGeneres Show her old pal Justin Timberlake appeared live via satellite to serenade the talk show host with his speical version of “Happy Birthday” for the star’s 60th birthday.
Donning a white beanie and sitting in front of his band The Tennessee Kids, Timberlake revealed he was busy rehearsing for the Super Bowl Halftime Show and his upcoming Man of the Woods tour and told DeGeneres “I’m so sorry I can’t be there to kick off your birthday week.”
Ellen questioned the “Filthy” singer about his upcoming performance and asked if JT had any plans to bring guests onstage with him at the halftime show on Feb. 4 in Minneapolis. Justin remained coy, but welcomed Ellen to come out and join him for the gig.
“I’m really great with lyrics so I can sing along with you,” Ellen said before Timberlake chimed in and told the comedian “you’re very good at dancing too and we all know that.”
The former *NSYNC singer then revealed that he sent DeGeneres a birthday gift, which sent a crew member backstage to retrieve a beautiful bouquet of stunning lightly colored pink flowers. Ellen thanked Timberlake as he then proceeded to sing “Happy Birthday” with The Tennessee Kids and Ellen’s studio audience.
“Thank you for doing this,” Ellen shared. “I can’t wait to see you. I’m sure everyone is excited for the halftime show.”
