In a clip posted through Ellen’s Show Me More Show channel on YouTube, Charlie Puth revealed to Ellen DeGeneres that he’s “actually not single right now. I’m in a relationship,” and he’s “done with dating people in the public. It never ends well, especially for me.”

And so, it begins.
First, side-by-side photos of Demi Lovato and Lorde appeared. “Rather what?” Puth asked with a laugh. “Sing a song with? I know she’s a very famous.” The crowd didn’t take a liking to Puth not even recognizing the actress for her Oscar-winning role in La La Land, to which DeGeneres remarked, “It’s so easy for them to turn on you. It really is.”
When Taylor Swift popped up as an option, Ellen jokingly referred to “Look What You Made Me Do”: “The new one. The old one’s dead.” Puth went with Swift because his affection toward her songwriting, but once Rihanna’s face popped up on the screen — game over.
“Girl who I’m seeing who I’m not going to name, I’m very sorry,” Puth said into the camera. “But you’ll understand. You’re a cool girl.”
