Channing Tatum needed some way to shake his nerves out before stepping onto the Jimmy Kimmel Live stage to guest host on Wednesday night (Nov. 1). And, luckily for him, guest Ellen Degeneres was there to coach the Magic Mike star back into his dancing groove.
Kimmel’s staffers are conveniently all incredible at dancing, so they offered encouragement with their sweet moves as Tatum made his way through hair and makeup in the show’s opening sequence. Tatum suddenly had the urge to bust a move after he peeped over the divider in the men’s room and spotted a pair of bathroom-goers shimmying their way straight past the sink and back into the office without washing their hands. Gross.
P!nk‘s floating head even made an appearance during the dance number, as it ghosted across the screen while she lip-synched the lyrics to C+C Music Factory’s iconic dacne hit “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)” before sitting down with Tatum to talk about her Halloween hangover and teaching her kids to accept everyone.
Eventually, Tatum made his way to the stage and greeted the live show audience, dance troupe in tow, for an impressively choreographed end to his show-opening routine. Catch the entire opening sequence below.
