Chance the Rapper is asking HBO to stop airing Real Time With Bill Maher after the host said the N-word on the Friday night (June 2) airing of his show.
“Please @HBO Do Not Air Another Episode Of Real Time With Bill Maher,” he wrote.
The tweet has been retweeted over 9,000 times and favorited by more than 27,000 Twitter users since posting.

Maher has since apologized for his choice of words, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The comic had received instant backlash on social media after he responded to guest Sen. Ben Sasse of Nebraska’s question “Would you like to come work in the field with us?”
“Work in the fields?” said Maher. “Senator, I am a house n—–.”
On Saturday, Maher said: “Friday nights are always my worst night of sleep because I’m up reflecting on the things I should or shouldn’t have said on my live show. Last night was a particularly long night as I regret the word I used in the banter of a live moment. The word was offensive and I regret saying it and am very sorry.”
In a statement, HBO called his use of the word “completely unexcusable” and said the network will be “removing his deeply offensive comment from any subsequent airings of the show,” but offered no further comment.
