Pop princess Camila Cabello, who just released her debut album Camila on Jan. 12, stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show where she transformed Ellen’s studio into a Cuban nightclub for an iconic performance of her hit “Havana” and discussed the, err, unconventional way she kept warm during her subzero New Year’s Eve performance in Times Square.

“I’m from Miami, so that’s just not great,” Cabello told DeGeneres, adding that there was a “negative one hundred degree wind chill” — to which DeGeneres jokingly shut down the singer saying, “you would’ve died.” In order to avoid completely freezing, Cabello said she put hand warmers “everywhere,” and she meant everywhere.
Pointing towards the lower half of her body, Cabello said putting hand warmers “down there” helped a lot. As the audience laughed hysterically, DeGeneres joked, “so you felt the heat there and it made you think of Havana.” Cabello further went on to proclaim her desire to use hand warmers during all future performances and joked that is would “be the new thing.”
Following her interview, Cabello put on a cabaret-style performance of her smash hit, beginning in her dressing room — complete with a photo of Ellen herself on the vanity — before making her way to a nightclub setting where she crooned her way to the end.
