Empire star Bryshere Gray showed he’s not afraid of a little girly pop when he performed Taylor Swift‘s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” on the latest episode of Lip Sync Battle.
Gray faced off against Rumer Willis for an episode that airs Thursday on Spike and transformed into Swift with a blond wig, red lip stick and full pajamas with a cherry print. With backup dancers and a moving set behind him, Gray awesomely brought to life Swift’s music video for the chart-topping Red track, fully embodying the pop star’s sassy attitude on the breakup anthem.
Oh, but that’s not all. During the track’s chorus, a couple dancers stripped off Gray’s pajamas to reveal and red and white polka dot outfit, much recalling Swift’s iconic look from the video and elsewhere. The move elicited a shocked, “What?!” from Willis.
