Last night (Jan. 29) was the premiere of the highly anticipated Marvel superhero movie Black Panther, featuring Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong’o, as well as a soundtrack executive produced by Kendrick Lamar.
The premiere brought out a ton of stars, who later took to Twitter to praise the superhero movie. The premiere required “royal attire,” and the stars brought their very best to the purple carpet. Take a look at what some celebs had to say about the movie, which hits theaters February 16.

The #BlackPanther premiere is the craziest I’ve ever been to. We’ve been stuck here in nonmoving traffic forever. I can only think this means this movie is going to be HUGE. pic.twitter.com/Zr1kcYCfCS

#BlackPanther is a love letter about blackness, to a world that often ghettoizes it without realizing that it is on black backs that this planet revolves.

Black Panther. So very good. I cheered and laughed and pumped my fist. I’ve never seen a super hero movie like it. Everybody involved with it deserves a medal and a high five.

BLACK PANTHER is not screwing around. By far the most political Marvel chapter, to the point I had to remind myself this is a Marvel movie. BLACK PANTHER is a movie with a lot to say.
Also, Michael B. Jordan … damn
