Season four of Fox’s The Masked Singer premiered Wednesday night (Sept. 24), and Busta Rhymes already got busted as the Dragon. But there are five more contestants dressed in four costumes who have yet to be unmasked in Group A.
Before next Wednesday (Sept. 30) at 8 p.m. ET, when Group B premieres and unveils six more masked characters, the show’s viewers have already started placing their bets online about which stars might be shining underneath the best masks you’ll ever see come out of COVID.
Let’s see what the internet has to say about the true identities of Giraffe, Popcorn, Snow Owls and Sun. (Possible spoilers ahead, maybe!)
The Giraffe’s historic get-up has many thinking a cast member of the Broadway musical Hamilton is ready to hover over a different stage. The mastermind behind Hamilton Lin-Manuel Miranda might be the tall guy hinting at his other musical In the Heights.
They got Lin Manuel Miranda as the giraffe on Masked Singer lol

Tina Turner has been popping up a lot as who could be behind Popcorn, especially since she and ex-husband Ike Turner had a song from 1973 called “Popcorn.” But that’s not the famous song they think Turner’s already alluded to. In her clues package, a Proud Merry-Go-Round lights up behind her, and fans think it’s a reference to the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s Grammy-winning hit “Proud Mary.”
Is Tina Turner playing popcorn on The Masked Singer?!?! That would be simply the best!

@MaskedSingerFOX popcorn is Tina Turner and you can't change my mind. "Proud Mary" go round? C'mon my queen is in the building! Tina Turner WELCOME to the masked singer! @JennyMcCarthy @kenjeong @robinthicke @NicoleScherzy

The Snow Owls are having viewers do double-takes and asking “Who who?” But the most common answer is country couple Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black because their duet “When I Said I Do” sounds identical to the Snow Owls’ cover performance of A Great Big World‘s “Say Something.” But fans will have to wait and see who’s who in the identical first-ever two-headed costume.
If you listen to their song “When I Say I Do”….there’s no doubt the Snow Owls are Clint Black and his wife Lisa Hartman Black.

The Snow Owls—That DEFINITELY *sounds* like Clint Black and Lisa Hartman… listening to When I Said I Do has me 100% sold on it being them, but haven’t clue-checked yet. #TheMaskedSinger

All guesses about who could be the Sun seem to revolve around Demi Lovato, considering she played Sonny Monroe on Disney Channel’s Sonny With a Chance. A fan also pointed out that one of the Sun’s clues mentioned in the season premiere — “I was frozen” — might be alluding to when Lovato sang the pop version of Frozen‘s theme song “Let It Go” once the credits of the 2013 Disney animated film began rolling.
This is definitely Demi… Didn’t she play a character or was on a show that had the name “Sunny”…. #maskedsinger
