You want a first look at Ariana Grande‘s Netflix film Excuse Me, I Love You? You got it.
The pop superstar gave the Arianators a glimpse of one of the performances featured in her upcoming concert documentary, which follows the Sweetener World Tour. Despite the title of the Netflix film being a play on her ad-lib from Thank U, Next‘s “R.E.M.,” the one-minute snippet shows Grande sparkling onstage during her London stop while performing “Everytime” from her 2018 album Sweetener.
“… you get hiiiiigh and call on the regular,” she quoted the song’s lyrics in a tweet shortly before the first-look clip dropped.
“7 Rings,” from 2019’s Thank U, Next, soundtracked the film trailer Netflix posted last week, which revealed jaw-dropping onstage clips and tearjerking behind-the-scenes moments. “I know that it’s been hard, physically and mentally, but, like, this show for sure saved my life this year,” a misty-eyed Grande tells her team in the video.
Excuse Me, I Love You will debut Monday on Netflix, one day ahead of the official one-year anniversary of the world tour’s final stop at Los Angeles’ Forum.
The Sweetener World Tour was Grande’s biggest yet, yielding the highest total gross, total attendance, number of shows (97), average gross ($1.509 million), average attendance (13,699 tickets), and average ticket price of her career ($110.18). It supported her fourth and fifth studio albums Sweetener and Thank U, Next, which both debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
