In light of 12-year-old ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer being crowned winner on Wednesday night’s season 12 finale of America’s Got Talent, we are revisiting every winner in the show’s history dating back to the first season in 2006.
Farmer is actually the third singing ventriloquist to claim AGT victory, as Terry Fator won in season 2 (2007) and Paul Zerdin won in season 10 (2015). Other notable winners include father-son dog-training trick duo Olate Dogs in season 7, magician Mat Franco in season 9 and Grace VanderWaal from season 11 who has just announced a new EP.
