What better way to kick off The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’s fifth anniversary than by having one of their first guests, Adam Sandler, pay a visit on Monday night’s (Feb. 11) show?
Host Jimmy Fallon first thanked Sandler for “being so good” to the show and for being one of their first-ever guests, to which the comedy icon responded jokingly that he’s known the host “since he was a little boy.”
Sandler didn’t just sit on the couch though: he surprised Fallon with a Valentine’s Day-themed serenade. “My Jimmy Valentine, sweet little Valentine/You make me laugh when you slow-jam the news/ I think it’s pretty cool you’ve had the same haircut since middle school/ And you imitate me with your za ba da ba dool,” Sandler sang. “You’re like a younger version of me, except not a Jew/ Be mine for goodness sake, break up with Timberlake/ It’s Jimmy Valentine, happy five years on TV.”
Back on the couch, Sandler and Fallon talked about his 2018 Netflix comedy special, 100% Fresh.
